The Eloquence Workshops teach professional business writing through a combination of audience-specific lessons, memorable anecdotes, hands-on writing activities, and templates and checklists for future reference. The programs are designed to instil confidence and self-efficacy, to promote continued learning, and to offer a blueprint for managers to share and develop this knowledge.
The Eloquence Workshop is the flagship program at Eloquence delivered in two parts during a full-day program. Part One introduces key skills for clear communication and effective writing through a combination of research-based theory, memorable anecdotes and hands-on techniques. Part Two is designed specifically for the audience, focusing on the types of written work most commonly produced by participants, and building confidence through targeted lessons and writing activities.
Audience:
This program is relevant for people at all levels of an organisation including graduates, middle management and senior executives. The workshop material is tailored to the participants’ knowledge base and skill level, created in consultation with team leaders or an organisation’s learning and development or human resources departments.
The Eloquence Masterclass is a follow-up program to the Eloquence Workshop that extends and deepens writing skills and confidence, and builds self-efficacy. Participants submit written work before the session, and these are sensitively edited in the group setting to draw out writing themes, ideas and lessons that are applicable to all participants. In this interactive learning environment participants contribute to the editing process, and the discussions reference lessons and activities from the first Eloquence Workshop. Detailed written feedback is also given to each participant privately.
Audience:
This program is relevant for people in roles that have a strong writing component, or for those who produce important written work for clients, investors or executive teams. It is also a powerful program for managers in staff mentoring roles, as the session offers a blueprint for giving effective and considered feedback to promote and develop effective business writing.
Eloquence Foundations offers participants lessons and activities to build the important foundational skills of effective professional business writing. The workshop — Part One of the two-part Eloquence Workshop — includes a detailed overview of how to plan, write and review written work to enrich business communications.
Audience:
This half-day program is suitable for participants who want to learn the foundational skills of effective business writing, but are not able to commit to the full-day Eloquence Workshop. It can be delivered as a professional development session during a conference or work retreat.
Storytelling for Leaders can be delivered in a half-day, one day or two day format, and can be tailored to the priorities of the business. All workshops include a six-month Deliberate Practise Program, which involves weekly online lessons that emphasise how to apply verbal storytelling skills in the workplace.
Audience:
This program is relevant for business and team leaders, for people in client facing roles, and for anyone who speaks or presents in a public forum. It is also an excellent program for women leaders with its emphasis on building skills and confidence in verbal communication.
